Overcoming Evil With Good

There are people who laugh and mock your faith in God. They may think you are weak because you follow Christ. But the truth is they are in need of your prayers far more than your judgments or accusations. You don’t have to be offended by what they say or do, but you can see from an eternal perspective that you have an opportunity to change their life by loving them and praying for them.

Shaming people won’t change people.

Criminalizing with legal action won’t change people.

Not even threatening them with the reality of hell will change people.

But there is one thing that can destroy evil completely and that is LOVE.

Love is the most powerful force available against evil.

So here is how to overcome evil with good:

When someone hurts you, do something good for them.

When someone accuses you, speak blessings over them and pray for them.

When they laugh and say awful things about you, continue to pray, and seek God’s heart for them. Don’t debate them. Don’t highlight their mistakes but refuse to be a judge and show them the same love that Christ showed you when you were a sinner and opposed to Him.

When people reject God and insist on living in their own ways of thinking, they get angry when you don’t affirm their wrong reasoning. But truth cannot be silenced, and love cannot be overcome.

For the believer, there is a beautiful, calming peace when they pass from this life to eternity with God. They have a deep knowing that they are going home to be with the One they served, the One they walked with in fellowship through the Holy Spirit.

But for those who resist God’s love and reject His truth, the passing is not peace but turmoil. For all who do not want to believe or accept the blessings of God, the transition is filled with fear, regret, and separation.

This is why we must never stop loving, praying, and shining light. Love is the solution. Love is the only force that wins. God is Love!
