Matthew 28:
The main messages of Matthew 28 are the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Great Commission, and Jesus’ promise to be with his disciples:
- The resurrection: The early disciples witnessed Jesus’ resurrection and were in awe of the empty tomb and his wounds.
- The Great Commission: Jesus commissioned his disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey his commands. This is also known as the mandate from God to his church to disciple the lost.
- Jesus’ promise: Jesus promised to be with his disciples always, into eternity.
